Island peak (6,160mt) is a mountain in Everest region which also known as Imja Tse. The peak is named so as it looks like an island in the ocean of ice when viewed from Dingboche. In 1953, as a first team British climbed this peak in course of their training exercise to climb Mt. Everest.
